Alabama To Wear "Blackout" Jerseys?

The official University of Alabama athletics website is offering a ‘blackout game’ Nike jersey which they say “will be worn by your favorite players during the 2013 Blackout Game.” The full listing reads as follows...

Nowhere in there does it say for the 2013 Alabama blackout game. Just that the material is made as the same as those used for YOUR favorite player in the 2013 blackout game. Never says quote Alabamas blackout game. Trying to find a story where there isn't one I see. I can promise you, Bama won't wear these and who would?. Not on the field for sure. Nike couldn't even sell the 2010 houndstooth numbers jerseys. A month after the game Hibbetts was selling those for 30 bucks after they wanted 90 to start with. Same with the houndstooth collar. Never saw a fan wearing one. Got one for Christmas and its been in my closet with the tags since 06. Our uniform is an identity of the school as Nick said. We wear solid black shoes, white socks, the two stripes on the pants have never widened, still have a gray facemask and the number font on the helmet is even the same. That uniform won't ever change. Not even slightly. Changes that have been tried were quickly dumped and burned.
