Here is a look at the Week 5 SEC Players of the Week, which were announced on Monday afternoon by the league office. Here is what they had to say about each player:
OFFENSE
Joe Burrow, QB, LSU
-Accounted for 388 yards of total offense and four touchdowns.
DEFENSE
Josh Allen, LB, Kentucky
-Totaled eight tackles, four tackles for loss, 3 sacks, and one forced fumble.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Braden Mann, P, Texas A&M
-Punted four times for an average of 48.8 with a long of 65 yards.
FRESHMAN
Evan McPherson, PK, Florida
-Kicked 39-yarder and 21-yarder against Mississippi State. Now 8 for 9 on the season.
OFFENSIVE LINE
George Asafo-Adjei, OT, Kentucky
-Graded at 90 percent vs. South Carolina.
DEFENSIVE LINE
Jachai Polite, DL, Florida
-Three tackles and two sacks vs. Mississippi State.
