Week 1 SEC Football Players of the Week were announced on Tuesday by the conference.
OFFENSE:
Drew Lock, QB, Missouri
-Threw for 521 yards and seven touchdowns.
DEFENSE:
Shaun Dion Hamilton, LB, Alabama
-Recorded a team-high eight tackles
SPECIAL TEAMS:
Deebo Samuel, WR/KR, South Carolina
-Scored KOR TD, & two passing TD's.
FRESHMAN:
Chase Hayden, RB, Arkansas
-Had 12 carries for 120 yards.
OFFENSIVE LINE:
Garrett Brumfield, OG, LSU
-Led team with 12 knockdown blocks and no sacks.
DEFENSIVE LINE:
Denzil Ware, DE/LB, Kentucky
-Had two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, and scored a TD.
OFFENSE:
