ESPN is ranking the Top 25 players in the SEC in 2013, and we will be featuring the Top 15 on the SEC Rant. South Carolina QB Connor Shaw came in at No. 6.
The ranking is based solely on performance during the 2013 season, and is based on how players performed in key games and clutch situations. Here is what ESPN had to say about Shaw:

There might have been more talented players in the SEC, but nobody was tougher or showed more determination than the next player on the list. Despite suffering various injuries throughout the season, Shaw always found a way to play through them and finished with 2,447 yards passing, 558 yards rushing and 30 total touchdowns. He ranked fourth in the SEC among quarterbacks with a 162.9 QBR and threw just one interception all season.
