Tennessee WR Pig Howard Suspended For Season Opener

Tennessee head coach Butch Jones announced Thursday that wide receiver Pig Howard has been suspended for the Vols Sept. 5 season opener against Bowling Green for an unspecified violation of team rules. Per The Tennessean.com:
quote:Howard, a senior, caught 54 passes for 618 yards and a touchdown last season.
Jones said Howard's suspension stems from an incident that occurred months ago.
"This isn't something that just occurred," Jones said. "This is something that dates back many months."
