Steve Sarkisian Announces Suspension For Linebacker S'Maje Burrell

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian announced that linebacker S'Maje Burrell has been 'suspended indefinitely from all team activities' for his involvement in the accident leading to T’Vondre Sweat’s DWI arrest.

Burrell, a redshirt freshman from Fort Worth, Texas, did not see game action during the 2023 season.
