ESPN is reporting that South Carolina starting tight end Rory Anderson injured his triceps at a scrimmage Saturday while trying to stiff arm a defender and will miss the rest of spring workouts.

South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier said he was hopeful that Anderson wouldn't miss much workout time during the offseason, although he wasn't sure of the extent of the injury. Anderson will be evaluated to see if he has a complete or partial muscle tear.

Should it be a complete tear, Anderson's recovery could extend into the season.
Anderson played in 12 of 13 games last fall, starting nine of them and had 17 catches for 235 yards. He has eight career TDs.
