Maddox spent this past season at UAB after spending his first two seasons at Alabama State. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound safety will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Maddox is originally from Conyers, Ga., and had a solid statistical season for the Blazers this past season. He had 44 tackles, 7 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles and an interception while playing in 11 games.

Safety figures to be a position of need for the Bulldogs, as starter Dan Jackson is set to exhaust his eligibility, while Malaki Starks declared for the NFL draft on Monday.
