Florida announced the hire of Mike White as the teams new head coach on Thursday. The deal is for six years worth $2 million per year, according to ESPN.

"I have an incredible amount of respect for the University of Florida, and I am so excited to be a Gator," White said in a statement. "Not only is Florida home for me, but the tradition and success that the Gators have built make this an incredible opportunity."
White will replace Billy Donovan who left last week to become the head coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Prior to taking the job at Florida, White was the head coach at Louisiana Tech and lead the team to a 101-40 record over the past four seasons.
