The SEC Baseball Player of the Week honors were announced by the league office on Monday.

LSU's Cade Doughty was named Player of the Week, Florida's Hunter Barco was Pitcher of the Week and South Carolina's Michael Braswell was named Freshman of the Week.

Player of the Week: Cade Doughty, LSU LSU's Cade Doughty led the SEC during the opening weekend with 12 RBI and 17 total bases, and he tied for the league lead with eight total hits and a pair of home runs. Doughty hit .571 during the Tigers' three-game sweep of Maine, and his on-base percentage was .563. He was 3-for-6 in Game 2 of the series on Saturday with a double, five RBI and a first-inning, three-run homer that highlighted a four-run first inning. Doughty again collected five RBI in Sunday's Game 3 victory with another three-run homer, a double and a sacrifice fly. He also doubled and drove in two runs in LSU's Game 1 win on Friday night.

Pitcher of the Week: Hunter Barco, Florida Florida's Hunter Barco pitched 6.0 shutout innings with a career-high 12 strikeouts to earn the win against No. 24 Liberty on Friday. Barco allowed just one hit and one walk in the win. He struck out the first five batters of the game, and Barco's 11 strikeouts were the most by a Florida pitcher on opening day since at least 1999. He retired the first 16 Flames he faced, tying his career high with 10 strikeouts through the first-five innings.

Freshman of the Week: Michael Braswell, South Carolina South Carolina's Michael Braswell recorded four hits on the weekend and picked up the series-clinching win for the Gamecocks against UNC Greensboro on Sunday. Braswell opened the weekend by going 2-for-4 with a home run and three runs scored. He added two RBI on Saturday, then earned the win on the mound Sunday. In the series finale Braswell struck out the side in the top of the 10th, then his RBI fielder's choice scored the winning run in the bottom of the inning.
