I had hoped Johnson would just never leave. Whoever Corbin finds has huge shoes to fill. Johnson was instrumental for our success over the past decade. He will be missed.

Brown fits the mold of every other coach at Vandy. He should be brilliant as not only a pitching coach but also as a recruiter. Also, hidden in there is the addition of Fann as Director of Baseball Operations. I have no idea what that means, but Fann has always been a great leader of the team. It's good to see him sticking with the program after graduation.

One of college baseball's most respected and accomplished pitching coaches is leaving for a job in professional ball. Baseball America learned Sunday that Vanderbilt associate head coach Derek Johnson will become the Cubs' minor league pitching coordinator.

Indeed. Will not be easy to replace by any stretch of the imagination...
