That may be so but I don't know I could be comfortable with someone like that representing my University. If the allegations are true, he violated that young lady and should be gone.
Hopefully she 's just an upset ex/one night stand that made false allegations. I think that's the best outcome for all parties.

Whether you like it or not, the expectation of privacy is much different today than 20, 10, even 5 years ago. All of our laws (actual) and jurist law is based on how the world worked before technology. There is no expectation of privacy anywhere, at any time, today. Any half-assed lawyer could make a case about that.
Your TV has a camera that is watching you. Your laptop, your phone, your fancy new smart appliances in your kitchen, all constantly watching and listening. They don't sleep.
Everything we think about privacy law is all about to change in the next few years.
Will the US backlash against it, like Germany did? In Germany, video surveillance laws are extremely strict. Employers can't even video their employees in the workplace. In the US, all you have to do is put up a sign saying you are being recorded, and you can record. Not so in Germany (and a few other countries I imagine).
Which way will our society go?

I did some really stupid stuff when I was in college. Never photographed girls I was having sex with. Couldn’t afford that much film. If it was his first offense and, depending on other facts, I’m sure Kirby will be fair. Girl could have allowed him to photograph her and then got angry when he didn’t call afterwards. We don’t know all the facts.

Well, as more states add "revenge porn" laws, I would say, as a society, we're not okay with the idea that having sex with someone really means you're consenting to being filmed and the video shared with whomever. That's some perverted shite.
