I don't think there's a bigger question mark the Marshall game can answer than "How does the Rushing Offense look?" Marshall knows that and I fully expect them to sell out to stop the run. That said, by what measure would you label the Rushing Offense a success, and conversely a failure?

I don't expect any meaningful takeaways from this game. Marshall has a new coach, half the roster is brand new, and their first game is on the road against Georgia. They are in a pretty shitty situation. And Kirby is a coach's coach and isn't going to rub their face in shite. I foresee a running clock toward the end and both teams start treating it like a scrimmage. Take Marshall and the 40 points.

Of course I could be dead wrong and Marshall finds a way to actually beat us. Stranger things have happened in college football.

Next week, if Brooks Austin and Radi start up with the "it was just a case of 1 lineman missing their assignment and the other 4 doing their job" shite like last season, that would be a dead give away that we're about to have a long season.

In other words, I agree strongly with your point.

I doubt there will be a running clock. This has only happened one time early in Kirby's career that the other coach agreed to a running clock, but then the coach changed his mind. It's a pride thing and a testicular fortitude deal for the other team.

39.5 is a lot of points, wouldn’t be shocked if we ended up not covering, but we ain’t losing to Marshall people.

It's my bet of the week. Marshall has 73 new players and half their starter transferred to Southern Miss with the new coach. And plus I think that this will be a hungry season opener and not just an average lazy non conference home game. And when Georgia plays hungry in the season opener, no one is better. Ask Clemson or Oregon.

Georgia - 65
Marshall - 7

This is setting up for the Cancer Dawg mantra. If we win 28-3, we are firing everyone, because you've already set expectations at 65-7.

Is this your Peter Buck impersonation or are you being serious? Seriously.
