The key to beating Bama is limiting explosives

Georgia seemed to be able to run fairly well against Bama, but our defense gave up way too many explosives and that got us into a shootout using a QB that isn’t meant for shootouts.
Bama isn’t the type of team that can grind it out against us, so they relied on quick strike explosives to put us in a hole. When you get in a hole, you can’t rely on the run game, which is unfortunate because you could tell that we could have ran all over Bama by how well we moved it when we did run early on.
Michigan is a grinding type team and that plays into our strength, but I’m sure they will go for some quick strikes based on what they saw in the SEC championship.
If we can get past Michigan I do believe we have a good shot against Bama IF Kirby can come up with something to limit those explosives. It will be huge that Metchie is out with a season ending injury. They have other good WRs, but Jameson Williams will be the only elite NFL receiver we would have to lockdown (better than two).
I find it hard to believe that we didn’t have a better plan to terrorize Young all night, but I’d have an even harder time believing Kirby would let it happen again. Our defense did not look motivated last night and they didn’t have the killer instinct we saw vs Clemson.
1. Georgia’s D line must dominate Bama’s O line and sack Young often. They have the athletes to do this.
2. Lockdown or limit Williams (Metchie out)
3. Give JT a legitimate chance to win his job back. First two are the biggest keys though.

Agreed. We led the country in fewest plays over 10 yards coming into this game. I had a very bad feeling after Williams first TD. Our secondary hasn’t let any receivers get wide open all season. Bama found a weakness and exploited it.

If they don’t get that fixed and quick we don’t win. Again.

To be fair, there were multiple times against Tennessee where IF the WRs caught the ball, they beat us bad. They didn't, so it didn't matter, but the worry was there.

I said the same thing earlier but was dismissed
