Really wanted an answer by last Friday and I'll bet the coaching staff did too. That would have given us plenty of time to work up the game plan, etc., with no muss or fuss.

In that same little passage of the NCAA bylaws that said they typically rule within 48 hours (which is why we all got excited), it also says priority is given based on next game played. We were bye so they probably had other cases to get to more pressing. It's monday, we've got all week. We'll hear something soon.
