Yep, even if you believe it, it wasn't an appropriate thing to say publicly. Rather it's something you say one on one to a player who seems to be inciting discontinue within the ranks.

Well, maybe he was weeding out the pussies.

It's just concerning that essentially all of the question marks on offense have seemingly jumped ship, either for the portal or the draft. While the defensive side, essentially all of the question marks are staying.

Most thought it was a given that From was gone before the season. yes, he had a bad year, and many thought that might bring him back. But, I think scouts realized that a big part of the problem was the OC and young inexperienced receivers.

Cade Mays is a Tennessee boy. He wants to go home.

Swift? We knew he was going, right?

Isaiah Wilson? That was easy to see.

Andrew Thomas? No brainer.

What real shockers are there? Sometimes there is no great mystery. It just is what it is.

This. Cade Mays grew up bleeding orange, he has Knoxville tatted on his bicep, played his high school ball 15 minutes from Neyland Stadium and the only reason we got him to begin with is Butch Jones. Fulmer and Pruitt tried to build a relationship with him as quick as they could but they didn’t have enough time. The very next day after he committed to Georgia, Pruitt started working on his younger brother Cooper and 2 years later Cooper was a Vol and Daddy Mays loves Pruitt. Cade is transferring back home to play with his brother and live out his childhood dream of playing for Tennessee. With Pittman gone he really had nothing keeping him at Georgia. It sucks to lose him but it’s not because of something happening on the inside.

To me, Thomas and Swift were the only safe bets in my book. I assumed Wilson would stay and switch to LT in 2020. Solly wasn’t expected to go though I know he’s been on campus for what, 4 years now. Think he’ll be a Nauta or Thompson and be more of an afterthought in the draft unfortunately. I was back and forth on Jake. I always believed he would play until they said you can’t wear that uniform anymore. But, good for him.

Cade’s obviously out of left field. Still unclear on Ben.

So yeah, there’s 2-3 surprises in there.

Then you look at the D...Lecounte, Monty, Stokes, Malik...anyone questionable is staying unless I’m not remembering someone.

I mean it was a possibility, but nobody should have been shocked that he would want to go pro. He was a higher rated tackle out of HS than Thomas, so the size, strength, ability was there.

True. But, really? Are we going to go looking for a hidden problem because he left?

He wouldn't surprise me if he left honestly. It would be another mistake, but he is struggling with grades apparently, and he has always struggled with college life. Wasn't it him that almost went home his freshman year?

Really. Maybe one surprise. And he is a fringe player, really.

People staying has nothign to do with people leaving. not in the context we are talking about. We have always had players leave that shouldn't have. Like you said...nauta for one. We had soem leave when Richt was here. Alabama has a couple elaving that they didn't expect.

My thing is...don't go looking for trouble where there is no reason to. Can there be a problem? Sure, I guess. But I would much rather concentrate on what is good than what is bad. I have found that 90% of the time the thing you worry most about doesn't come true.
