don't forget in that Tennessee game he returned a punt for about a 60 yard TD - of course he fumbled it first, then got it back and took it home

After that (probably the 3rd or 4th awful return decision RD had made that year)

If Richt was gonna bitch out Davis for screwing the pooch four times, shouldn't the AD have jumped all over Richt about .25 picoseconds later for still putting Davis in those positions?

Reggie Davis may have dropped that pass, but he didn't lose the game.

I never said he lost the game. I said he FELT like he lost t=he game. Watch the video and you know that's how he felt. If you have ever been in a similar situation, you know that is how you felt. It's just the way a top level athlete thinks.

I'm glad he recognizes his mistakes, but I hope he doesn't blame the loss on himself.

Exactly this. I agreewith you 100%. But I can also assure you that he DOES blame himself....to a degree. However, in order to be a successful athlete he will have to find a way to put this behind him and forget it so he can perform the next time he is in this situation. If he is anything like me, though, the next time I would see a similar pass to me, the Tennessee game would quickly cross my mind. You can't fully exercise those demons until you successfully perform again in a similar situation.

And good grief at the downvotes on the OP.

Those down votes were probably more of a statement on me than the thought of Davis dropping the pass. There are those that don't care for me personally. I'm used to it and it doesn't really bother me.
