Question for Damn Good Dawg and other "Hype" Video makers................

Damn Good Dawg, etc: I tried to make a youtube video for the first time, but it got shut down because I guess I used some copyrighted music. What am I doing wrong?
I hear copyrighted music in youtube videos all the time.... SIdenote: I apologize in advance for all of the parasites in this thread. It is what it is. If you're interested in the topic, you can just skip to mine, Deeprigs, and Christopher's posts to keep from wasting your valuable time.
Still not ready to give up on this video yet.....
Any thoughts, ideas, or wisdom, is greatly appreciated.

I'm new to this youtube horse shite.
I watch youtube videos all the time with music in the background.
But.....for some reason, it's giving me a "Copyright Notice" and saying that the video is blocked.
Anyone know how to get around this?

You mean you made your own video/slideshow and overdubbed it with copyrighted music, and youtube slapped you down?
That has happenned to me alot, to the point I only make youtube videos with very obscure or very old music.
There are little programs and shite that alter the digital patterns of the file to trick the filters, but I don't recommend you go fricking around with it, the last time I tried fricking around with a youtube hack app, my wife's laptop died, dead as a doornail, wouldn't even turn on much less boot up.
I think you should just walk away.

Nope.
Harry Fox agency manages royalties for about 95% of every musical artist you've ever heard of.
When Harry Fox tells youtube not to allow that song to be played or uploaded, youtube listens, or youtube burns in hell.

Actually, there is a way, you can license the song through Harry Fox, it will cost you about 9 cents per reproduction, which means cents you owe Harry every time someone clicks your youtube, but I believe it has to play for at least 14 seconds. However, because of the way Flash caches info, it doesn't have to actually play for 14 seconds for the server to tell Harry Fox that the whole damn thing was played.
