I skeptical of Plumlee's arm but he's a great runner. But I'm confident Fromm can't win a natty here. He's not elite.

I'm starting to wonder if you're right. There was no reason not to put Bennett in when we got behind 34 to 3. Kirby doesn't even want another qb to look like they might could do anything. This is where those massive coaching salaries with guarantees are hurtful to a program; when the head coach can be as stubborn as he likes with the downside being retiring wealthy.

Bennett didn't play because Bennet is not very good.
He is convenient and knew the system.

Then Kirby knowingly wasted a scholarship. Because if he's so bad you won't play him in a game that's already lost, he shouldn't be on the team. But I've seen Bennett make some plays and he couldn't play with any less confidence than Jake Fromm has been. It's hard to see the downside of putting him in.
