I don't remember too much of larry and eric back in the day, so most of my dealings with TRG are in their current (or, current til yesterday) form.
Ummm it was Larry and Eric until, like, 6 months ago.
What are you 4 years old?

You are right about it being Jason Bailey. I fricked the name up.
TRG had some awesomely funny bits back in the day. Craigslist Confidential and the massage parlor reviews were hilarious.

I've been with TRGs since practically day one in the late 90's.
Larry was always an a-hole. But he was a loveable a-hole, kinda like some of you guys on here lol.
But once Larry got a divorce his persona changed for the worse with all the W.A.C.H.S. bullshite. He became unbearable.
Eric though kept shite grounded. But then Larry fricked him and essentially wrote and talked Eric out of the show over the last couple of years. Eric became so disgruntled that he didn't attend or work on any of the creative meetings. That led to Eric's firing.
I was pretty much done when Eric was fired. I no longer listened daily. Larry was creepy with the way he interacted on air with Brandi. Which brings me to another point, it's Regular Guy not Regular Lady.
SSS whether you love or hate him is a local radio legend. I'm on #TeamSSS. He is a loveable douche. Tim Andrews is a comedic genius. He is an amazingly funny talented guy. Seabass is somewhat reminiscent of Eric and I like him too.
They are bringing in Campbell who did the morning show on 92.9. I've listened to him some last year and he wasn't horrible.
So with all the firings and controversy surrounding TRGs over the years it's sad they went out with nary a whimper instead of an epic bang.
Agree with pretty much all this.
Especially the Larry Divorce thing. He definitely changed. I have it on good authority from a former person who worked on the show who happens to also be a big dawg fan, that perhaps Larry got back into the coke when he got back into the dating scene.
He no longer interacted with people on the show, but talked over them and through them, almost like a senile person at times, lots of awkwardness. Eric could never talk. It was Larry Larry Larry.
That's why I was shocked when Eric was canned. I thought they'd get rid of Tim or allow Sebastian to move on, as he was always talking about his other job opportunities.
I tried listening after Eric left, and after a week it was just unlistenable.

But all of the funny bits, I miss the Eric and the news jog the most.

was this a sports show or more like Howard Stern?

It was an intelligent style of shock jock radio.

Perry didn't bother me, people's sports opinions don't really bother me that much to the point where i dislike a radio personality. It's their job to poke the bear so to speak. That being said, I too am a little disappointed the 790 dudes are taking over. They were always a bit more dude/bro-ish.
