OT: Savage B22 F

My oldest son, he's nine and very short, and I are doing a Project Appleseed in two weeks. He has a Savage Rascal which is a bolt action, single shot rifle. His length of pull is too short for anything else other than an AR. Rather than make him watch me shoot an AR or our Marlin model 60 while he works a bolt 500 times over two days, I bought a Savage B22 F. I almost bought a Ruger American after deeprig's thread and one in the OB but went with the Savage instead. It was cheaper and the two Savage rifles we already have are tack drivers. His Rascal included.

Here's the first 10 round group with the B22 from a sitting, unsupported position at 20ish yards:

I'm really happy with it. The bolt is smooth and the irons were almost spot on right out of the box. Here's my big boy's first group of the day with his Rascal:

Anyone that wants to teach a little one how to shoot a rifle, I can't recommend the Rascal enough. I got 5 rounds through a clover shaped hole when I sighted it in. The only thing I dislike about it is sight adjustment. It's a huge pain in the arse.
