Vegas, or any bookie sets the line based on the betting public perception. Their goal is to have equal money on each side so they pocket the juice either way. Vegas is not gambling they are running a business. If they have a lot more on one side of the wager they become a gambler. Thus they adjust the line and lay off the difference with another casino. The Georgia brand (as of today) is carrying that line. Even if the oddsmaker looks at all the injuries, the munchkin QB and the fact we have scored 14 pts in the last six quarters his opinion may be we are gonna get our arse handed to us but he will set the line where it draws even wagers. No one is better at this than Vegas.
