Or we are each others alter. Posts have more credence if stated by more than one person.

So right now on their 85 man scholly roster they have only 17 4* or better players at Miss St.
Got it.
And UF is at roughly 30 maybe? That's before accounting for the guys they may lose to the credit card fraud stuff...
As I said elsewhere, it's not that he's a "bad hire"... it's just that the premise that he does so much with 2-3* athletes is very overblown. As the other poster stated, he's got 4/5* athletes at every level on the defense... his offensive schtick is to go a little contrarian and grab diamonds in the rough primarily... he'll have a talent increase at UF most likely, but not in the orders of magnitude level that many seem to be envisioning... his avg athlete caliber (based on recruiting rankings which are of course not always accurate but a good measure) will rise from an 86 to maybe an 88-89...
Meanwhile his 3 primary rivals: FSU (65% blue chip), UGA (63% blue chip, rising this year), and LSU (65% blue chip)... are all schools that have been consistently recruiting well for a while now... As I said over on the SECr, it's still highly probable that he averages about 8-9 wins in the regular season unless he has a significant improvement in recruit quality or at a minimum lands a several of "the right ones" to string together some early major success.

This is unpossible... Rig and I are clearly each others' alters... we only argue in order to better keep up the charade. Unless...

So at roughly double?
Got it.

See what you want to see deerpig...
Without accounting for early draft attrition (or departures due to new coaching staff), I did a quick check and saw about 7-8 guys that will be gone after this year just due to no more eligibility (unless Harris pursues a med-red). Their class at present has 8 4*s committed, so they're not upping their ratio significantly at present... will be interesting to see how their recruiting class shakes out this year...
Another feather in the cap of this argument is it looks like Mullen will be bringing Grantham with him to UF...

Mullen is walking into a shitty situation, certainly.
My point is that Mullen did very well in the SEC West with inferior talent. He'll get alot more talent at Florida just by geography and name recognition, than he ever had at Miss State.

He did walk into a bad situation.
More importantly, I think Georgia is turning into one of the best situations in the country. Let Mullen recruit and do his thing. I really think we are on a trajectory that won't be derailed by any hire our rivals make.

Did he though?
Miss St v. SEC (West)
2017: 4-4 (3-3)
2016: 3-5 (2-4)
2015: 4-4 (2-4)
2014: 6-2 (4-2)
2013: 3-5 (2-4)
2012: 4-4 (2-4)
2011: 2-6 (1-4)
2010: 4-4 (1-4)
2009: 3-5 (1-4)
Tough to go back that far and easily say where they had better/worse talent, but I'd say on average, it's fair to say that in most seasons, the only teams where I would grant a "huge" talent advantage over MSU would be Auburn, Alabama, and LSU (the differential for these programs is such that their lowest avg recruiting rank for the class over each of the past 5 years is either on par or higher than the ceiling of MSU's classes)... They are more on par talent wise with Arkansas and Ole Miss... A&M is a bit of a wild card, since they've had better classes, but seem to struggle to turn that into production in most seasons...
Yet in 9 years, only once did he surpass the 50:50 mark in division play, and a second time, tied it... As I said, he's not a bad coach, but his "success" is widely overblown.
