Deserve has changed. I personally don’t think you should get a shot if you play a weak schedule and lose to Northern Illinois. To me, you lose your right to compete. It used to be that you had to play a tough schedule and win to get in. They beat a UGA team with a new QB and got smoked by Ohio State. Having a down game is understandable. Losing to Northern Illinois is not.
