So this is a somewhat off the wall post, but for those who love the dawgs like I know many of this board do, I thought this would be cool for you.
I just finished reading (and highly recommend) reading
“Attack The Day: Kirby Smart and Georgia’s Return to Glory” by Seth Emerson & Matt stinchcomb.
I haven’t ever really read a book on the dawgs before so this was somewhat of an experiment but I’ll be damned if I didn’t find some really cool things in here. Starting back at Kirby as a player to the fall of Richt all the way through as recent as 2019 and Justin Fields to Ohio State.
The things I found pretty interesting were how some people (players, coaches, etc) were VERY transparent on the opinions of coaches, teams, players, decisions. It also honestly really painted a pretty good picture of Kirby for me. When we wonder why, or is he stubborn or things we chirp about on here. I think this explained a lot about a lot for me.
So aside from some really wild comments and insight, I got to ride the roller coaster once more of what our last 4 years have been. Bama, the natty, lsu, and I got to remember how far we have come and where we are headed. It’s not a book to immortalize Kirby, but I’ll be damned if I didn’t finish it with a smile, hope, and one more “go dawgs” ready to unleash in between the hedges.
I love this university and honestly If many of you guys and gals do as well like I know you do. You’ll check it out.
Just my two cents!
