Cant wait. First time Ive been back in over 20 years. 
Question: Wheres a good place to grab some good grub and drinks Fri night? Its me, my sister, BIL and 10 year old nephew so we cant really hit the bars.

Your best bet is to park downtown and walk around and see what you like.
Copper Creek has really good food and great beer selection.
The Globe is also great with drinks and has an awesome burger.
Amicis is always good and have pretty good wings.
I haven't been but clocked is supposed to have the best burger in Athens. Everyone loves it.
The Capital Room on Washington street is a tad more upscale but they have a full bar and really good food. And by upscale I mean the plates are square and the entrees are around $15

Cali and Titos could be a good place for the kid and it's BYOB for 2 dollars.
Trapeze has really good food and the best beer selection in Athens.
Transmet is a great pizza place that also will serve drinks
There's a new pizza place called Ted's Most Best. Haven't been but I heard the pizza is awesome and there's a big outdoor area with games and stuff.

Yea, Last Resort is the best restaurant in Athens.
Cali N Tito's the best for the price. Awesome food.

Right across from Clocked on Washington. For the record, I thought Clocked was pretty overrated too. Everyone else loves it though.

I went to La Dolce Vita last time I was there and was pretty impressed. We didn't have reservations anywhere and only had to wait 45 minutes after the game.
I would not recommend Square One. Worst fish I've ever eaten.
I would echo the recommendation for Trappeze Pub. The only bad part about that place is that it wasn't around when I was in school. .
Obviously, Resort is great.
