You can call me a sissy (work filters so I didn't use the p word) or whatever, but I learned in college that I'm not meant to tailgate with liquor anymore. From roughly 2001-2005 (up to my first season as a student) I never drank before games at all. Not a drop. I could tell you the score from every UGA game going back about a decade, big plays from the games, and a lot of times who and how we scored our touchdowns.
Then in 05 I started getting drunk before games, beer mostly. I had a great time, and still continue to drink many beers before games currently. However, around the 06 season I started guzzling liquor before games too. The 06-09 seasons are honestly a blur. The ASU game at home in 09 is probably the worst, as I blacked out/passed out in the stadium and only remember one single play from the game. I typically acted like a loud, belligerent ahole and I decided I really didn't want to be like that anymore.
Like I said I still get drunk and will steadily drink, but I made it kind of an unwritten rule that I will no longer drink liquor before games, and I've had a lot more fun because of it.
