Etienne looks good, Anthony Evans and Bell playing really well.
I miss Bowers already, but I think we'll like our offense.

Defense looks better on edge containment so far too. That was really what I was looking for. Edge and our defense playing in space. So far, it looks much better. Bolden looking good too. Doesn’t look like a freshman.

And I think the d-line looks tough.
Going to be a fun year with trips to Alabama and Texas. Our starters look good and we still look pretty deep.

This is turning into the best looking G Day game I can remember.
Stockton looks good, as well as our 2nd team receivers. Running backs are beasts, no one with real burner speed, but all very talented and difficult to tackle. Our o-lines look good.
And through all of that, our first and second defense is showing they've got some serious talent and have kept the scoring low in the first half.
I am .... pleased.

Yeah… biggest surprise for me has been ALL levels of the defense. Also, these fricking LB’s might be the best we’ve ever fielded. Everyone looks to be in great shape too. Not much hands on the hips etc.

That and everything is running smoothly. No awkwardness in setting up and running plays on offense or defense. They are focused, locked in, and know what to do.

So, same as last year.
One thing I'd like to see the offense do better in the second half is convert first downs in or near the red zone. We move the ball all over the field and then the defense bogs the offense down when it counts.

McCleod siting… busted through and disruptive on 2 consecutive plays. Hopefully he steps up this year.
