Okay, you believe what you want. I’ll believe what I want.

Nah. Kirby doesn't bypass an undisputed leader for two underclassmen at SEC media days. And he wasn't going to pay up to keep JDJ from leaving for UK. The fact that Dumas Johnson even wanted to trade UGA for UK and a few bucks in his money season means he definitively knew he wasn't on solid ground at UGA, and not just because of talent.

Now that I think about it, I see your point. Kirby only named the guy a team captain for the very first game of the season just because Kirby always thought that hyphenated last names were really cool. The AJC beat goobers only thought he was a leader because the AJC is super liberal and wanted to see the hyphenated name community get some representation and highlight the contributions by the hyphenated name community...

Georgia linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson is the vocal leader of the defense. He’ll bark out calls on defense and hold teammates accountable.

Jamon Dumas-Johnson, a junior inside linebacker and the Bulldogs’ de facto defensive captain the past two seasons, has entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports Thursday night. Matt Zenitz of 247Sports was the first to report the news.

It didn't really become JDJ's defense in 2022 after Nolan Smith went down. The other players just let him speak up because they felt sorry for him because he had a hyphenated last name.

That's progress. Coin flip honors for an FCS game is a minor nod but doesn't change the earlier message. Undisputed upperclassmen team leaders who are first team pre-season all conference get that SEC media days exposure, not snubbed for underclassmen. And they don't get a wave goodbye when some third tier program offers them a few bucks for their senior season, AJC sensationalism notwithstanding. Any player can mouth off on the sideline but Kirby wants leaders who lead by example, on and off the field.

I'm going to leave this for someone else to explain to you. But those are EXCELLENT questions, and I'm glad you asked them.

What is "Cardboarding" and why is deeprig9 on the secrant.com GEorgia board so god damn obsessed with it???

"Cardboarding" generally refers to the flat appearance of objects in a scene due to a lack of proper depth perception. Imagine looking at something that should have three dimensions, but instead, it looks like a flat cutout, almost like it's made of cardboard.

This term is often used in the context of:
Visual arts and media: When animation, special effects, or even live-action cinematography fails to convey a sense of depth, making elements appear two-dimensional.

Virtual reality and gaming: If the graphics or display technology don't properly render 3D space, leading to a flat, unnatural look.

Real-world perception issues: In rare cases, some visual impairments or neurological conditions might cause individuals to experience a lack of depth perception, making the world appear "cardboard."

As for why "deeprig9 on the secrant.com Georgia board" is "so god damn obsessed with it," I don't have access to specific user profiles, forum discussions, or private information on secrant.com. Therefore, I cannot tell you the exact reasons for deeprig9's particular obsession with "cardboarding" in that context. It's possible:

They are a critic of a particular visual style, maybe related to a team's branding, stadium graphics, or broadcast quality.
It's an inside joke or a term of art within that specific forum community.
They might have a strong opinion about something appearing "flat" or lacking substance in relation to a specific topic discussed on the Georgia board (e.g., a team's performance, a player's perceived effort, a coach's strategy).
It could be a general observation about a perceived lack of "depth" or complexity in something being discussed.

To understand deeprig9's specific obsession, you would need to read their posts on secrant.com and the surrounding discussions.
