We had owned the third quarter this season.

I dont know what Bamas third had looked like this season, but our defense usually turns it up the way that Bamas did tonight.

The next time we play Bama, I hope we get DJ Daniel in the nickel. He's more suited for the speedy WR type than Stevenson.

I hope we throw to the RBs more (maybe those were the batted balls, but the RBs are open).
I hope we get the tight ends more active in the pass game. They wont be breaking off huge plays, but I think they are mismatch on LBs and safeties.

The running game wasn't elite. But it was better than I expected. I think we can continue to improve with more reps at the OL and more time for the young backs to get experience.

You can put the 85 Bears defense out there, but if you don’t have a really good QB you’re not beating the two or three elite teams in CFB of which Bama is one.

We need a QB man. Nothing else. We’re definitely good enough to beat them.

We still have to play defense. You don't roll over like Ole Miss and just give them 100% of available yards.

It’s tough when your offense is consistently getting 3 and outs and a couple of interceptions. Our defense has usually started to make their defense tired in the 3rd due to keeping their offense off the field.

The game was much closer than the score indicated. It was lost when we put the ball in our walk on QBs hand, and out of our 5 star RB's. We were gashing Bama up the middle and why we didn't stick with that gameplan, I'll never understand.

We're going to have a rematch with Alabama in two months. I'm certain we can't beat them with Stetson Bennett under center. I have no idea what's going on with JT Daniels, but he's our only hope.

Truthfully, I don't think we have the offense to beat Alabama, but we can still have a great season to build the foundation for a powerful offense in the future. We have got to figure this QB situation out though.

But as for tonight, I really don't blame the defense. Alabama's WRs are unfair. Playcalling lost us this one.

Because we weren't going to convert third downs. You need balance. We couldnt run 60 yards down their throat. They are too good (or our OL isnt ready to do that)

He is injured.

Probably right. But we need to improve the defense versus what we did tonight.

The defense tonight wasnt good enough. You think kirby is happy with the defense. There are personnel issues that we can do better. There may be some schematics too.

I'm not there right now. Maybe I will get there later in the rematch. But we need to improve at QB and hit those downfield shots the Stetson underthrew and hit those digs where the wide open receiver is catching on his knees. Hit those layups that Stetson missed at the goal line (but made up for). The playcalling is there, imo.
