Coach Richt has really stepped up his leadership of this team. He has made some tough decisions over the past few years that have put us on a course for a MNC. I wouldn't be surprised one bit, if he politely "let" Garner go to Auburn as he knew that we needed a new DL coach to Finish The Drill.

I believe he REALLY wants that Crystal Ball at this point and that will make all the difference. I for one and super happy he is our coach and have full faith in him!

Congratulations Coach Richt! Go Dawgs!

Credit where credit is due Rules. He got rid of Senor Score. He put down the fake juice. He got rid of some cancer cells that were destroying team chemistry. He hired Grantham and mentored Bobo to be a better play caller. Essentially the man has addressed every thing GATA use to whine about.

To answer your question though, GATA grew up and found a new philosophy that makes for a more exciting and happy life. No whining and complaining. Play the hand you are dealt. Take what the day gives you. Use perspective. Give and receive. Reap what you sow. And so forth.

I hope that anybody out there that is happy will keep doing what they are doing and that anybody that isn't will have the courage to realize there is no benefit in conformity and false consistency. Change everything and everything changes.

Happy New Year, my friend!

Well said, HBTD! As GATA, you and I were foes, but applaud the course you're on brother. Stay strong, keep the optimism, and go Dawgs!

It's the D-line that's killed us this year. I like us not keeping Garner. Alabama man handled our big nose tackles. I can't wait to see who Grantham gets for us on the D-line. I think Richt is also learning how to recruit the line. Great class this year and can still finish with Tunsil, Crowder and Adams. That on top of who we already have. Not to mention he has gotten us a ton of depth, especially on defense, this class.

I'd like to see Grantham take over coaching the D-Line. If I recall correctly, that was his job with the Dallas Cowboys when we hired him. Imho, the d-line needs that junkyard trenches mentality that Grantham brings to the table. Garner was old blood. Kind of stale and going through the motions in my opinion. He gets turned down for the HC job at Auburn and then takes the same position he had at UGA at Auburn. It doesn't add up. Nobody tried to talk him into staying. I have the feeling, CMR was spitting feathers when he left. Richt has a TREMENDOUS record of hiring great assistants. His weakness seems to be promoting from within.

Anybody can read a book and draw the x's and O's of how to run a 3-4 but a transformational leader like Grantham can make these guys believe. It's one thing to wear GATA on your sleeve, but quite another to wear it under your jersey.

Firewind, I loved you then and I love you now. We were never foes. We were both just wanting what we thought was best for our beloved Bulldogs. I'm not sure that all the screaming and yelling didn't help just a little bit. We went from the being "the lunatic fringe" to being mainstream and affecting change. I am convinced, from a personal standpoint, that it was not worth it. I'd rather have fun and enjoy the game. I'd rather cheer for the Dawgs and find what they are doing right. GATA wore the ring long enough. It's time for somebody else to bear that burden.
