The only reason I even remember that exchange with DawgfaninCA is because my parents were actually friends with the allman brothers. The older my dad gets the more stories he tells, and they are great stories. Not stories about how "we did so many drugs that night we ended up hee hee hee" but stories about people and how life can change on a dime. He's joe biden's age and I harvest him for memories every chance I get. He's coming over tomorrow to stay a few nights, he's alone, momma's dead, and we'll watch fox news and drink beer and be Americans celebrating the birth of Jesus.
