Reading over all yalls post and Dallas still makes more sense. I spend alot of time in Miami and i would rather this game be in Dallas.

Both massive recruiting hotspots and we have played a game in fl already.

Way better facility, zero chance for trouble with players in Metroplex suburbs and a closed roof. Not hard to understand.

There is literally no where to go but chain restaurants and neighborhoods in Arlington.

The only exception being if we have to face Oklahoma or Oklahoma State. Too close to both schools home turf.

I’m talking about number of fans ability to go to the game. Why the frick would we go to Dallas and possibly be outnumbered? shite, if we played OU, it would be a de facto home game for them. Why do you think Alabama chose the Sugar Bowl in the 2017 season? There’s a hell of a lot more to do in NOLA than Pasadena that could get players in trouble if that is all y’all are worried about.

Osu, Michigan, MSU and ND have large fanbases in florida.

We will travel either way.

We were not outnumbered in California... Depending on where you are, Miami is not a ton closer and by air there is no difference in time.

I can assure you our fans will nto be outnumbered wherever we play and whoever we play against

I've already mentioned that it's a no brainer to play in Miami if OU is our opponent

national titles are won practically every other year there and they have the best coach that's ever lived, they probably aren't worried about players going rogue. For us in our current state, I'd rather do everythign conceivably possible to avoid any hiccups.

They'd be far outnumbered plus we have several players from the area.

We would travel well to Dallas but obviously a easier trip from the Oklahoma folks.

Then why would it matter with OU? Stop the flip flopping.

Contrary to what a lot of y’all think, not all Georgia fans are from Atlanta.

Why does anyone honestly GAF? To the point of arguing about it? I don't understand.

Since the CFP inception, Alabama has been the #1 seed four times. 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020 seasons. In 2014 they chose the Sugar over the Orange. In 2016 they chose the Peach over the Fiesta. In 2018 they chose the Orange over the Cotton. In 2020 they chose the Rose over the Sugar Bowl only because of attendance restrictions in the Sugar Bowl due to COVID 19. The Sugar only allowed 3,000 fans while the Rose allowed over 18,000. Why did they choose these locations EVERY SINGLE TIME? Because of the ability of their fans to get to the stadium and make a difference in the game with as much as a “home crowd” feel as possible.

dude, take a step back and think. If we were to for some reason play OU in dallas, yes we would probably be outnumbered. Which is why in no possible scenario on earth would we ever play them there if given the chance. Nobody is flip flopping on anything.

I still stand by that, considering there is a 0% chance we play OU in dallas.

So we can argue about something other than Stet vs. JT.

Cotton. One for the reasons WG brought up below, and two, don't have to worry about a downpour inside Jerry World. And the roof would likely be closed.

That’s exactly my point. We are choosing a location that would give our team the best “home field” advantage. Why suddenly would your worries about players sneaking out in South Beach suddenly go away if Oklahoma was somehow the #4 seed?

FFS

-Out of all the possible playoff scenarios, playign OU or OkSt in Dallas are the only ones that would put our team at a competitive disadvantage. So logically we would choose to play in Miami if either of those 2 teams were the opponent.
-In literally ANY OTHER SCENARIO, it makes more sense to play in Dallas because it reduces the risk to our team.

I don't know why you're being intentionally obtuse on this. If all things are equal, we should want to play in dallas. But if OU/OSU are the opponent that no longer makes "all thigns equal". This isn't difficult.
