Are we sitting on a set of power running plays?

Just running out of the shotgun seems stipid. We have to have some under center play action and pulling plays to spring white, wouldn't you think?

Missed it, good, was hoping we would use some of the concepts we used vs Baylor.

i hope we have some more creative run plays than the shite we saw Saturday. That was hard to watch. The toss play we ran a couple of times in the 3rd Q was a sight for sore eyes.

Watching USCe and Bobo still has me wanting a offense like that again. Lead blockers and throwing out of running personnel groupings is what San Francisco, LA Rams, and others are doing and they run the ball at will and then burn your arse with PA and TE routes.

As teams get smaller adjusting to spreads, power run concepts should make them play and grind clock, especially if things aren't going right in the spread.

The play action wasn’t effective because we didn’t establish the run early on. Might have had more success with that if we did. My only gripe is we rarely pull guard or tackle and almost always man block. That and we have a couple linebackers on defense that would make a nice fullback in spots because sometimes that aspect might be beneficial. Nate McBride comes to mind.

Every year we say the same stuff here. We’re using vanilla stuff and waiting to break it out for bigger games. Every year it doesn’t change. Granted our offense looked much better in the second half at Arky, but I wouldn’t count on us having a bunch of crazy stuff up our sleeve
