Rules as conveyed by the great elders:
1) quality guesses receive a hint
2) the person that solves has to create the next riddle

5 series of dashes and 5 numbers.

So each number gives us a word with each dash a letter? And the letters for 14 are the key to decoding each of the 5 words? (which hopefully aren't phish lyrics)

Correct.

Incorrect, but if decoded, gives you a clue to the phrase.

If you ignore someone's guess (like you did mine about the first word) are we to assume it was wrong?

Assuming I'm right, sum of the number value of letters (A1-Z26). Once he confirmed "to" was accurate, I went to the longest, highest value word option then started thinking through options. Initially, was just thinking about the Welcome to Jacksonville, Florida sign on entry, but couldn't think of a reason for the 4 letter word at the end... then recalled the Kirby quote and just confirmed my suspicions at that point.

Still don't know what the letter bits below were supposed to represent? Cryptogram of sorts maybe? But couldn't make sense of the 14.

Congrats to the first Two-Time Winner of A riddle!

The code at the end are alphanumeric values to the line of latitude that runs through the Jacksonville stadium.

a=1, b=2, etc.

abcdefgb = 30
next is 19
next is 24
14 = N

Thus: 30* 19 24 N

I feel like Ralphie when his decoder ring gave him an Ovaltine commercial.

Never even heard that expression before. Must be a sewer rant thing.

Motion to dismiss this specific A Riddle and have it stricken from the record:

Evidence
-in first response I asked if each number gives us a word
-author's reply was "correct"
-but it turns out that it wasn't true
-the five numbers dont give words

Can I get someone to 2nd this motion?

The five numbers do give words. Did your parents have any children that lived?

No they don't.

Each of those numbers can be many many words
