6-3 pigs in the 8th

Game over

We’re just not as good as teams with actual pitching staffs (we never were but we hoped for the best)

Good news: we’re getting better starts on the mound. We were hanging tough with Arkansas for 7 innings until Quinn gave up a triple to a .190 hitter off the bench on a 2 strike count. Then it seemed to all fall apart.

Bad news: we stranded 6 runners in lead up to that inning, largely due to Burnett and Zabo going completely cold at the plate. Like, neither of them are worth a shite at the plate against conference pitching right now.

Everything after that triple and the Aloy solo shot doesn’t mean much to me; game was effectively over because we can’t get production out of our 2 and 3 hitters like we have all year.

They aren't going to gorilla ball everyone.

Similar thing happened in the last two Texas games, too. Pitching is catching up to us.

Zabo struck out swinging twice and looking once in an 0-4 effort last night. Burnett wasn’t much better. It’s not a lack of gorilla ball, they’re not even competitive at the plate right now. Rarely making it past 5-6 pitches in an AB. Whole lineup is struggling to grind out ABs right now.

HRs are great but we’re not getting crucial production from our top of the order the past two series

We just needed base hits in the last two series. We left a lot of runners.

Maybe that's the problem, swinging for the fences all the time.

Remind me to talk shite about every guy in the team next Thursday

6-2 Dawgs in the 3rd. Zabo is 2-2 with a 2 run double and a solo HR. Burnett is also 2-2 with a 2 run tank.

Great rebound for Wes and the team with an UMP trying to give it to Arkansas.

Kolten with a solid day on the mound as the starter. Hoping the confidence is back in the bats after a lot of guys had some solid days. Arkansas pitching is just devastating. Glad we are one game away from not having to see them or the Texas arms again for at least a while (knowing how Wes feels about Hoover, we may not see them again unless it’s in Omaha)

Today's ump is a special kind of stupid. If it is not straight down the middle it's a ball.
