Missed the inning where the scored three more but the pitching crew get the tip of the hat again after giving up 4 runs in the third and pitches another shutout through 6 if they keep this up the pitching can keep us in any game I believe

Took one of the kids to the game, takeaways:

- Zeldin needs to move back to the pen and maybe he will once Goldstein is back to full speed. Just can’t seem to maintain his stuff second time through an order
- Davis earned a second win and has really good stuff, ball just moves like it’s coming out of a slingshot. Wonder if we are gradually trying to stretch him out to become a full fledged starter?
- despite the absence of last years power barrage, I don’t think this team fears anything. Dudes just produce when they need to and it doesn’t seem to be just one guy who does it. Whole team makes plays, whether defensively, picking off runners, getting on base. They manufacture wins.
- Zabo is a monster, Burnett may be our best all around player. Tremendous additions out of the portal and both guys seem to be enjoying winning at an SEC school
- Alford is absolutely on fire and should be SEC Player of the Week. Definition of seeing beach balls at the plate right now
- That might’ve been the largest opening weekend crowd at Foley I can ever remember. Vibes are high around this program and the park finally feels worthy of the attendance. Sound system has been updated and sounds great, ample shade and fans now for when we get into warmer weather, tons of standing room with shelves for beer all over the place.
- Top of Kudzu Hill and the Greenhouse were packed like it was an SEC game. Students are into this team already as they should be

Yeah, Quinn gets his first start at UGA after transferring in from Ole Miss

Gives up 2 walks, a single, and a double but does log 2 strikeouts as well

Black singles and Alford doubles to lead off the bottom half so we will see who holds serve

Slate Alford and Robbie Burnett have to be our best hitters so far dawgs tie it up of of those two 2-2.
