Ball game. 8-10 Cats the final

Offense left 11 on base in a 2 run loss.

Pitching staff gave up 9 hits, 6 walks, and probably half a dozen HBPs and wild pitches.

shite effort all around. But hey at least Polk had a decent day.

No idea who we will throw tomorrow but I hope an SEC caliber pitcher between the ears actually walks out there.

Melear gets the start today after a great outing on Tuesday. If either offense or pitching can unfrick itself, we should be able to take this thing.

Not bad but not an ace, based on stats

Meanwhile, Melear has given up a leadoff single and then a 5 pitch walk

Hasn’t been said in a while so here goes

Fire Stricklin

Tired of this “just scrappy enough” approach to offense, especially when the pitching simply doesn’t exist. It’s a monumentally stupid way to run an SEC squad, particular in this day and age

Case in point:

2 runners reach in 2nd only for Gonzo to hit into a lazy 4-6-3 double play.

This team is trash

It's too bad we don't get to hit against our own pitching.

3 hits, 3 stranded, and 2 double plays batted into for the offense through 4

Still 5-0 Cats

I think the wheels have completely come off this team. It's 0-13 now, bottom 6th.

I"ve said it for years. It's insane that he has been given a free pass for years simply because his best season happened to coincide with covid. HE simply isn't any good and is a piss poor recruiter compared to all of our peers.

Thankfully we have a competent AD so HOPEFULLY he will be canned afetr this season. Tennessee has shown that you can make a hire and turn things around quick if you get the right guy. They've gone from atrocious to maybe the best team in america in a short amoutn of time while we're still praying we can maybe make it out of a regional in like year 10.
