Chances some of the committed guys are asked to look around to make room for some of the "outside looking in" guys?

If we do in fact get Salyer and Hill, it would be the cherry in top to somehow convince KJ to flip from Clemson.

Taters would meltdown

Very little as of right now. Class seems very secure, though there always that one lol.
Numbers will be tight and attrition will happen to a couple on the roster now.

Assuming we keep what we have and we managed to add those that you listed (not the outside looking in), we'd be at a 305.37 class rating... That is a class size of 25 and I've seen most recently we are likely targeting 24 (I think due to Marvin's blue shirt). There may be some wiggling to do there though?

300 is generally the number you're trying to get as close to as you can or surpass to be in contention for a top 3-ish class. We were at 301 last year to come in 3rd but that was nearly all time classes for Bama and tOSU. 2016, Bama was #1 overall at 302. The few years before that, Bama had a wide margin around 310-120 but #2 came in just above or just below 300.

I could get behind that list for sure. What I like about it...

DT QB - check
2 DTs to shore up interior DL - check
2 Interior OL with size and athleticism - check
2 RBs with complementary skill sets - check
Elite LBs with versatility - check
Big Physical TE - check
Some solid upside depth picks - check

Potential weaknesses -
Lockdown cover corner. Really want Campbell for this reason, but just don't see it happening right now. Chris Smith may surprise me though... love his physicality.

WRs - seems to be intentional, so probably not "weakness" per se, but all on the smaller side - really only likely to serve in a slot/utility capacity for either of the currently committed WRs, but with who we have committed in 19 and who we took in 17, seems to make sense.

Don't see many of the elite pass rushers who would really project to spend any time at DE for us, so lots of bodies at OLB that we could struggle to effectively use. Not too big a problem given the guys on the roster, also difficult to project sometimes who will bulk up more at the next level.

There always is. You could analyze roster/scholarship situations for days.
I've also seen the number from 22-24. Just had a hard time not including one of those on the hopeful list

Agree on Smith. Would love Campbell, but that's not happening. Everyone is very high on Speed and Baker is only a junior, but Webb is supposedly running with the twos already

Heard anything about Eric Stokes at all? I thought he'd been doing well this fall, possibly up with the twos, but then maybe regressed a bit. Kid is incredibly fast but was raw coming in. Took him late in our recruiting mock draft after this year's NSD... speaking of, you would probably enjoy if there is an open spot this year... guy on LSU Recruiting board runs it... like 24-25 of us or so, and we draft a full offense/defense roster with a few spares out of the full recruiting pool... kind of interesting to keep up with guys that you might not have looked into if UGA wasn't pursuing at all.

Heard good things early, but Speed has nabbed most of the praise. I know he's gotta lot of upside to use a scholarship on him. If memory serves, there were a couple without LOI's to sign, because they wanted him.
With Webb moving there, and seemingly picking things up fast, it looks like an easy redshirt for Stokes.
DB is tough, as you know, to break into the rotation as a freshman. I'm sure we have some receivers showing him the ropes as he pulls scout team work.
I'd honestly forgot the name, as Speed gets so much talk. Kid can tie his shoes without bending over

Pinged the guy who runs it. Probably won't know if there will be open spots until right around National Signing Day (it's a nice way to "extend" football related discussion before we go to the full throes of the offseason before spring practice.

Saved your email too if you want to edit out of the post.

Yeah, Stokes ran a legit 10.4s 100M and holds the state HS championship. From a DB skill set though, very raw. Hope he applies himself this offseason and finds a way to get on the field. That kind of speed would be nice to figure out a way to get on the field.

I'd imagine Brini, Stokes, Poole, and I think Bishop get the redshirt.

Four other true fr. DBs are getting steady playing time already.

That moment you go back to the recruiting board to see your last post, because you got so hammered, you don't remember anything from Saturday.
Damn.

Wouldn't worry about Fields. There are really no other teams in it

Need to lock down Anderson, Ford, and a true corner.
