His QB coach sounds like a blowhard that likes to give interviews. Trying to get his 10 mins of fame off the back of an 18 year old kid. He caters to whoever is interviewing him. The UGA interview was much more positive for us.
It's either that or these so called journalists are really damn good at spinning the man's words.

Rusty, who has been close with the Easons for the last two years, said the Easons and everyone close to them are keeping their traps shut.
Seems a little too convenient that this guy continues to pipe up and give his opinions. As rosy as that interview sounded for Florida, he gave an equally upbeat one in favor of Georgia on Friday.

It's time to stop worrying about Eason and start worrying about the program. Put your faith in Kirby that he will get the job done. If its not Eason it will be someone else. If he doesn't want to be a dawg then we dont want him here anyways.

I have said as much in other posts. If Eason goes elsewhere, it is because our offense is geared towards a more mobile QB. If that is the case, I will wish him well.

If Grier comes back, Eason might regret that choice. Eason might be more talented overall, but you know a coach would rather go with a more experienced player if they are roughly equal. If grier comes back halfway through next year and lights it up, Eason is looking at maybe waiting two years to start.
Whereas if he comes here...he only has to beat out good ol Lambert. There is no "if" there.

It's a huge factor. I grew up in and graduated from Stephens County(where Ben is from.) My parents go to church with his parents. From what they are saying, Eason basically just went down there, had fun, but is now over it. Kirby has Ben helping him keep Eason on, and has made it sound like an OC will be announced in the next couple of days. I think we are all worrying about nothing.

I can't worry about a QB that played basically, in GA. what would be equivalent to GISA ball. I hope he comes in and does well and gains 25+ pounds, but the overall expectations of this kid are beyond belief. Does he have the arm? Yes, but there is gonna be a lot more to it than that.

I believe they pulled the staff off the road yesterday and today until they make a decision on who will be retained. The only stuff I've seen is what Kirby and Schumann have been doing.

Haha yeah they will run with anything... I'm not trying to claim anything, I'm just passing along what I have heard. It does make me feel good though as Ben will be his roommate, and one of the guys protecting him for the next few years.

I made it to a couple of games and even I have to admit its not pretty. Or at least not like it was back in my day.
DrewDawg made me feel a little better about the Eason situation, every time I start getting worried about him leaving I remember he'd have to tell Ben Cleveland about it and then I feel better.
