I'll be in Chattanooga soon for a few days. I want to get out and do some hiking if I get the chance. Any recommendations on where to go? I'm really not interested in going to Ruby Falls.

I like some of the trails up on Signal Mountain.

Also why not visit Chickamauga Battlefield and just walk around the battlefield for hours?

If you're willing to drive about 45 minutes Cloudland State Park is amazing. You can stay in a yurt!

Look up Cumberland Trail and Lula Lake as options

Lookout Mountain and Chick Battlefield has a ton of trails.

Foster Falls, though it’s a bit short...once I get to the end, where it climbs up out of the gorge, I head down to the river and hike that back up.

A longer one is to the base of the Tennessee Wall. Explore the bottom of the crags once you’re there. The ‘base’ of the climbs is way off the ground, it’s super cool up there.

Never done the Walls of Jericho, but it looks cool.

I second Cloudland State Park and Rock City is a nice stroll as well.

I would concur if the OP wants to drive about 45 minutes. There are miles of trails on the plateau. We like the perimeter trail near Sewanee. About a 12 mile loop.

Lots of waterfalls! Greeter falls is an easy hike and well worth it.

Cloudland State park is great. If you're going to be there either the last weekend of Feb or first weekend in March, then go to Lula Lake. It's a land trust that's only open the first and last weekends of each month. It's great.
