That's probably the biggest negative from Morris. He has a high chance of becoming white Sumlin. We need a defense in order to compete. There's just no way around that.

I offer the bank to Kelly, Gundy, Petersen. I'd interview Patterson, and leach for the free entertainment if nothing else.
Plenty of great options that ahould be considerably easier hires as well.
I still maintain Morris being our parachute hire is as close to best case scenario possible.

Clemson was #1 in 2014 on defense but #25 in 2013, #60 in 2012 and #70 in 2011.

A span of 4 years in which they went 42-11... then Chad Morris' chosen one led them to a title. And if you report those results in chronological order during his time there it looks a lot better: 70, 60, 25, 1
