Watching MNF, 35 yr old Carson Palmer is having a great years and he credits his footwork and the time he puts into his mechanics for his success.
Obviously Sumlin has done some amazing things with QBs in his career and forgets more in a night of drinking than I'll ever know about the position, but one critique you hear about the system is perhaps a de-emphasizimg of mechanics. 'Make the right decision, do it quickly' seems to be the key - and it works!
Is anyone educated enough to tell if it's a breakdown of mechanics that is leading to poor QB play when conference rolls around (and we don't have a freak of nature taking snaps)?
