Something I haven't seen all season happened.
If you look, Manziel throws the ball BEFORE Swope gets separation. That, my friends, is a TIMING ROUTE and something I haven't seen all season.

He's thrown a few of them, he just has missed most of them. Timing patterns are tough to master for a Frosh QB primarily throwing to a lot of Frosh WR's.
It is going to continue to get better though and once it does we will see a lot less of JFF dancing in the pocket trying to figure out where to throw to.

It was a perfect read. They brought a safety biltz, and the Ags had trips left. Swope's man was playing bump and run coverage. When Johnny picked up the safety coming, he knew he had Swope in single coverage with a guy that was playing up, and there would be no coverage over the top.
So Manziel changed the read and sent Swope to the corner and Swope basically beat his man to the ball. It was perfect, and super impressive from a freshman QB.
