Yeah, it's not like the VP has some special plenary power over the budget

The way I see it, it is not a vote for Trump, but rather a vote against Clinton.

Neither will get much through our current Congress IMO so it doesn't much matter. We will basically stand still for four years while one of them self promotes without accomplishing anything. I don't really care which one does it.

No, but the VP can break a tie in the Senate.

While important that doesn't trump (pun intended) what roles of a shitty president.

He actually isn't. Put Rubio, Cruz, or Kasich vs Hillary and I vote Republican.

But if it comes down to Trump vs Hillary, I'm voting Democrat.

What if Trump picks Kasich as his VP candidate?

It still puts Donald in the White House, so.....NO.

Good fricking god I'm sick of hearing why my vote for X is actually a vote for Y

Not only does it add nothing to the conversation beyond rote condescension, it assumes a great deal about my choices (that if I couldn't vote for X, I'd surely vote for Z, who is the best chance to beat Y)

I'd vote in the Dem primary before I'd vote for Ted "Carpet-Bombs 4 Israeli Jesus" Cruz

Now that was quite the reaction.

All I am saying that Kasich has no chance to receive delegates in Texas. He'll get no where near 20% total to receive any at large delegates. And unless there is some pocket of Kasich voters in a specific district he's not finishing top 3 anywhere to get any of the 36 districts.

Basically if you aren;t voting for Cruz in Texas then its a vote for Trump. And that is perfectly fine. We can each do what we want, but that is the truth in the matter.

Or it is a vote for Cruz.

No its not. A win for Donald is to split Texas with Cruz. His lead is too great in other states. No one else is going to be able to make up enough ground.

Trump wins Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Virginia, Mass, & Tenn.
Teddy wins Texas & Oklahoma.
Minny, Alaska, & Vermont are still up for grabs.

Trump had an excellent night. Cruz didn't do too bad. Rubio finally won a state. Cruz is going to need people to pull out by the 15th or it is game over. Outside of Trump's obvious path to victory, Cruz is the only one that stands a chance. Reports are that if Cruz were to pull out ~75% of his support would go to Drumph. If Rubio were to pull out over 65% would go to Cruz.

Rubio doesn't have a chance in hell, he's 20 points back in Florida with two weeks to make it up. The Florida Republican base is nothing but olds and rednecks which are Trump's major constituencies.

Little Rubio DOES have a chance in a brokered convention, which Ted Body of Christ Cruz doesn't have, because Rubio is the Establishment's Pool Boy and Cruz is their sworn enemy. (However, Rubio only has that chance if he wins his home state of Florida, which doesn't look likely right now.)

THAT'S why Rubio won't back out before the 15th and let Cruz take a good portion of his voters and possibly have a chance at beating TRUMP - because here's still a tiny chance that he can win in a brokered convention scenario.

Cruz just won Texas, OK, and AK, and he's a hardcore zealot and massive jerk AND the only one who has even a slight shot without a brokered convention, so he's not backing out before the 15th. He's convinced he has a chance and is on a mission from Jesus.

So, both Rubio and Cruz are playing a game of chicken from which neither will flinch and the beneficiary is TRUMP.

Pretty much. It would be a very bad look to get blown out in your home state.

Rubio & Kasich need to work on making deals to be Cruz's VP. It appears Drumph potentially found his in Christie.
