You guys really honestly think Starkel would be an improvement?

No. The ONLY reason I feel this way is because Jimbo Fisher selected Mond over Starkel. I figure Jimbo knows more about football than everyone on this message board combined. I am not saying Starkel should start.

Our pass protection is unreliable. With Mond, we are at least sometimes able to scramble out of it. Defenses have to respect the designed QB runs, too.

I'm not second guessing Jimbo's decision at QB.

Me neither. I think he can be really good. He‘s also in a completely different offense than last year. He‘s tough and durable.

I'll tell you one thing I really like about Mond. His pass protection is unreliable. He knows when he drops back, he may or may not get the time he'd prefer. But he never berates the fellas on the offensive line. At least not in public, out on the field.

I have seen him get on the WRs a few times when he gets chased from the pocket because they didn't adjust their routes the right way or come back to him. I think all QBs do a little bit of that.
