I don't think Kenny can run the offense

There I said it. And I feel better for saying it. He stops the hurry up and looks sooo darn confused at times. I just don't think he has the confidence needed to take the snap when the defense isn't set and make things happen.

So either we change and commit to a Bama style offense and consider Kenny to be AJ #2 or we stick with Sumlins bread and butter and see if Allen can step up and handle the quick decisions and pressure like JFF did

We do need to figure out what kind of offensive identity we're going to have with him at the helm. I know he's not JFF, but when you check nearly every play in an uptempo offense, guess what? You have no tempo

I don't see what Allen has shown in mop-up to make anyone think he's the answer, and the reports from practice are the same.

There is zero chance this will happen

Exactly

Good news is Murray is coming and has to be licking his chops at the aging opportunity that is opening up in front of him.

I would like to see us integrate the air raid with a run based hurry up no huddle similar to Auburn. We can run air raid formations with split backs and run heavy run formations out of those plays. I think it gives us the most balance.

He hasn't shown anything as far as I am concerned. At the end of the day the coaches know exactly what he can/can't do. If they are not trotting him in then that tells you pretty much everything you need to know about him.

Sumlin will adjust the offense and give Kenny the best chance to succeed. We just faced the worst 2 defensive matchups we will have this season. From an offensive matchup standpoint, we will be in a better position from here on out.

If we aren't putting 28+ points in the first 3 quarters then we really don't have a shot at winning more than another game or two. These garbage time TDs don't matter at all. Have to get some meaningful offensive production and points in the first half of games or we are toast.

at SMU - 48 points
vs. Arkansas - 14 points

Well there you go. Arkansas is the one anomaly and we all know why.

Kenny Hills ability to throw an accurate ball over 15 yards may be the cause of this inept offense. I think it may be time for Kyle Allen, but unfortunately he may not be much better and the timing for a change is not right at the moment. His throws have a better zip to them, but unfortunately he seems to turn it over way too much. I understand part of that is adjustment from playing Arizona HS football to SEC football. If it were up to me. I'd wait until we play UL-Monroe to start him. I'd hate to throw him into the fire against Alabama or Auburn only to have him get mentally skulled fricked and damage his confidence.

I officially lost all faith in Kenny when they showed the stat on TV that he was 7 for 7 for 40-something yards. Da fuq?

His inability to throw past 10 yards completely changes the way defenses play us, shortens the field down to nothing, and takes away what he CAN throw.

But, for the record, Kyle Allen ain't the answer either. That kid sucks arse! He was in the Rice and SMU games for like 2 or 3 plays before he threw picks. My god. So I officially think we are just fricked in the goat arse until Kyler comes, if he still comes.

Well then fix the offense. Spavital needs to step his game up and come up with some solutions. He is the one getting paid, he is the one who has the most input, he is the one responsible for the offense.

I don't see this being a solution. We can't run the ball with a O-Line that can only pass protect. Our O-Line gets NO push against SEC DLs, you can see it the last 3 games. We get beat at the line when we try to run between the tackles.

We're just royally fricked the rest of this year, maybe next year too. This year we're a 7-5, maybe 6-6 team. Next year? Hopefully 8-4 or 9-3 if the defense continues to improve.

This offense sucks, and I don't see a bright spot that leads me to believe we're suddenly going to get better anytime soon. Noil is the best player on the O right now, and he's a true freshman. What does that say about Sumlin's player development?
