Had no idea. I'm honestly not sure I've ever watched a Clemson football game, so I'm not sure what to expect from him.

He was at OU from 99-2011. Co DC and LBs coach and then DC from 04 on I believe. They had some great defenses some years and shaky others from what I remember. He doesn't get me all fired up like Muschamp or Narduzzi would but he has a proven track record

So I guess we can all agree to expect Gibbs?

have you read either thread on this before melting, some are saying we've already hired Venables

Agreed.

#1 defense is definitely > #103 defense

Muschamp should be priority number 1 but obviously a lot of programs will be gunning for him too

Narduzzi ain't coming. Sumlin tried to bring him when he became the HC and failed.

As far as my preferences;

Muschamp>>Venables>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Gibbs

I read both, I'm going to continue at a low simmer-melt for the next few months, just cut me some slack. I'll keep it off the rant.

See... I am the opposite. Top 10 class (and highest in region) come February and it's like this season never happened.

This season was awesome. We did as expected, with some huge national exposure wins in our first year post johnny, recruiting is great, and we still did just bad enough to get rid of Snyder. Can you imagine winning 1-2 more games and keeping him?

I'm great with all of the non Gibbs options, no offense to Gibbs.
