b/c right now they can't even get respect from the committee for beating TCU straight up due to their OOC schedule.
It's worse than that, and I don't care what anybody thinks about Baylor this is a head-scratcher. OU would have been a good quality win against a top 25 team for BU... except they beat OU so badly that they knocked them out of the top 25. They would actually have been better off winning by 3. Chew on that.

No matter the score vs Baylor, why should OU be top 25 team? They are 6-3 with their best win being over 5-4 WVU. There is only 1 team ranked at 6-3 (Utah who at least has a quality win). It's not like OU has some great resume. They've lost to all 3 teams considered good on their schedule and they lost 2 of those at home.
I get what you are saying in that it's a bit of circular logic, but the entire Big 12 has very little room to complain. As a group, they have zero OOC quality wins. TCU's victory over Minnesota (a team likely to finish 7-5 in a weak conference) is far and away their best OOC victory among 10 teams. Chew on that.
I'm happy the committee is taking a stand against weak scheduling practices. Marshall is undefeated. Why not them? In the end, quality of competition has to matter.
