It seems like a leap to jump to Tommy John's, but that's the same thing that happened to Yu Darvish before he went under the knife.

I'm pretty okay with it as well. It's more important to be healthy in June than in Feb. Plus it's good to get everyone a shot this time of year.
But while I only really care about results in the post-season, hosting/good seeding certainly doesn't hurt. Our good rpi midweeks start in a few weeks (sips, @Rice, @UH) as does SEC play so post-Yale we probably should quit tinkering with rotation.
If the plan is to work Larkins back into it, I'd think a couple of innings vs HBU and then a midweek start in one of the games vs Northwestern St would make sense. Because after that, we only have one real creampuff before mid-April. Hopefully he's ready for that.
